Our Pre-School room is an exciting and welcoming environment where children grow in confidence, independence and curiosity as they prepare for their next adventure at school. We believe children learn best through play, exploration and meaningful experiences, and our practitioners carefully balance child-led learning with thoughtfully planned adult-guided activities.
Children are encouraged to follow their interests, ask questions, solve problems and develop friendships, helping them to become confident, capable learners. Through a wide range of experiences, they build important skills in communication, early literacy, mathematics, creativity and critical thinking, whilst having lots of fun along the way.
We are proud of the strong relationships we build with our children and families. Our experienced practitioners nurture each child's individual strengths and interests, supporting them to become resilient, independent and ready for the opportunities ahead.
The Pre-School room is organised into well-defined continuous provision areas, including a creative area, mark-making area, role-play area, construction area and mathematics area. These inviting spaces encourage children to explore, investigate and learn through hands-on experiences both independently and alongside their friends.
Children enjoy regular access to our outdoor environment, where they can continue their learning through exploration, physical activity and imaginative play. These experiences help children develop confidence, social skills and a love of learning that will support them throughout their education.
We are proud to have close relationships with local primary schools and work closely with them to support children and families during this important transition. By building children's confidence, independence and school readiness skills, we help ensure they move on to school feeling happy, secure and ready to learn.
At Park Day Nursery, we use Famly to share observations, photographs and updates about children's learning and development. Our Pre-School team also provides detailed daily handovers, giving families valuable insight into their child's day, including their learning experiences, achievements, wellbeing, friendships and food intake. We believe strong partnerships with parents and carers play a key role in helping every child thrive.
