The Pre-school room
30 months (Approx) to 4yrs +
The emphasis in our Pre-school Room is on teaching the fundamental skills that children will need to succeed at school including, literacy writing, numeracy and independence.
We educate and care for each child as an individual. Therefore, the key person observes and listens continually to enable them to successfully plan the ‘next steps’ to extend each child’s learning.
The Pre-school room is divided into well defined ‘learning areas’, each equipped with resources that focus on a particular area of learning i.e. craft area, mark making area, role play, construction and numeracy areas.
Our aim is to help children in our care to approach a major change in their lives i.e. starting school with the confidence, skills and enthusiasm for learning that will give them a valuable and enduring head start and smooth transition to school. We have excellent links with the local schools.
